High Speed Profiling

EEC’s High Speed Profiler (HSP) allows for quick and accurate measurements of the longitudinal profile of roadway surfaces. Our high speed profiler is manufactured by International Cybernetics Corporation (ICC) and operates at speeds of 15 mph to 70 mph producing ride numbers on-site. The collected data can be analyzed to reveal “hotspots” or areas of localized roughness which decrease the overall roadway smoothness. These areas can be efficiently, accurately located and indentified for corrective action. We recommend the contractor incorporate the high speed profiler into the paving train. With more stringent, State imposed ride standards and contract incentives being tied to smoothness, EEC’s high-tech HSP tool is becoming an increasingly valuable part of the paving operation. Our HSP used as an in-process tool will help paving crews deliver a high quality, smoother pavement surface, which helps the contractor to realize higher incentive payments.

  • The key to success

The HSP is not just measuring the final numbers of the pavement surface to ensure it meets the ride specification. The HSP can be used as an in-process tool, measuring the pavement's profile after each lift to ensure the smoothness of the surface lift. EEC’s HSP and our team of operators are Colorado and Wyoming certified. We are dedicated, efficient and knowledgeable in all phases of smoothness testing. We offer committed team members with a primary focus on exceptional customer service delivered within your project time frame and at a competitive price.
